September was also a month of church planting with church planters and pastors receiving theological training in Khovd (1,000 miles from UB), Western Mongolia. This is our third course in theologically training church planters and pastors. We had the same 15 students from last April, all of them from western Mongolia.  We also had two teachers from the US come to be with us. This was Dan Peterson’s (Minneapolis, MN) second time teaching and his focus was understanding the Gospel of John. We learned more deeply about Jesus, the Son of God. Richard Cook (North Dakota) came for the first time and taught us how important it is to disciple new believers within our congregations  as well as to train up new church leaders. Both of these men shared their life stories and experiences during their ministry time. Some of the Bible stories they taught brought healing to some of us. As Dan was explaining about Lazarus in John Chapter 11 and how he had been dead four days and how everyone expected his body to smell, a student, Lhamaa, who has planted a  church in Buyant, Bayanulgii, Mongolia cried aloud. Fifteen years ago she had moved to this place to plant a church. Her Christian brother had died in a car accident in a rural place and after a few days they found his body. This story reminded her of her brother.  She also knew the story of Lazarus.  Dan`s teaching on this subject deeply touched her and she was healed from her past trauma.

I want to  say thank you so much to our Ministry President Dr. Howard Foreman who started these courses last year. He was with us last April for teaching and he is coming again to teach in April, 2026. Thanks also to Dan Peterson and Richard Cook for your commitment to come and teach us.
