Zavkhan is a very unique place. During winter the temperature can plunge to minus 30 or minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit! Before the Russians and Communism came in 1921, Mongolia had thirteen famous registered Buddhist High Priests. Eleven of them were located in Zavkhan Province. Because of this strong Buddhist influence, this area has fewer believers and churches than other areas of Mongolia. This is the second time that this revival conference has been held here and before a new church is planted, God has to prepare hearts and the ground for the Gospel to spread. We believe God is now moving in Zavkhan and that His Holy Spirit is starting to work in a few local people’s hearts.
We also want to express our great appreciation to our dearest friends Steve and Trudy Maloof (from Chelan, WA) and Chuck and Sandy Thebeau (from New Braunfels, TX). Chuck is the Pastor of Christ Our King Anglican Church. We are very grateful that they committed their precious time and resources to come to visit us and the Mongolian believers. They ministered to us by teaching, preaching, counseling and helping in many other ways.
